A historical milestone between GleneaglesCRC Pte. Ltd. and Mistui & Co. Ltd.

Mitsui & Co. Ltd. has acquired a slightly less than 50% interest and become an investor for GleneaglesCRC Pte. Ltd. for roughly 400 million Yen on 14th January 2010.
This would become a historical milestone for GCRC by having Mitsui as a 49% Stake-Holder, while the 51% Stake will belong to Parkway.
Mitsui is the 2nd largest trading company in Japan. In world wide, Mitsui has presence in every country in the world in a wide range of industries, i.e.: banking, textile, chemicals, consumer goods, telecommunication, aerospace, automobiles, properties, etc..
This would be the first time for Mitsui to invest into a CRO and it aims to use Mitsui’s capital participation as a springboard on expectations of growing demand for clinical trials in Asia.
Cancellation of PIEC Full-Board Meeting in December

With effect from 1 February 2010, there will NOT be any convened meeting for Full-Board Review in December. Submissions received by PIEC from 1 November to 31 December will be tabled for Full-Board Meeting in January.

GCP-Workshop in Jakarta (3-4 Dec 2009)

We proudly annouce that we are going to conduct a GCP (Good Clinical Practice) Workshop on 3-4 December 2009 at Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta - Indonesia.
This would be a 3rd event of GCRC in conjunction with RESPINA (Respiratory Care of Indonesia).
In this 2-day GCP workshop, you will be exposed to the theoretical and operational aspects of core Clinical Trials Management activities. We believe that it is important that participants will put what they are learning to use, and they will be evaluated on their knowledge through a GCP Test.
Participants who pass the test will receive a certificate exclusively issued by GleneaglesCRC Pte. Ltd, endorsed by Murdoch University, Western Australia.

Seven-year-old GleneaglesCRC is garnering a lot of firsts lately. Last fall, the Singapore-based firm became the first contract research organization (CRO) to open an office in western Australia expressly for the purpose of marketing to U.S. and European drug companies that need to recruit lots of Caucasians. Also last year, it became the first CRO to open a data-management center in the Philippines. Last summer, it was the first CRO to set up operations in Indonesia.Read Article
